Video As a Fast and Effective Way to Increase Your Google ranking

Whilst video in its own right is a fantastic way to communicate your message to potential customers, there are a host of other benefits – mainly SEO related, that make video an obvious choice for companies and individuals who want to stand out from the crowd. This can range from a simple ‘piece to camera’ to a fully-fledged corporate video profile.

At present, I’d say at least 90% of the work we produce goes directly to the web... The video is typically hosted on the client’s web site, or more commonly ‘linked’ from video portals such as YouTube or Vimeo.

Using spidering technology, Google actually analyses the content of a video using text-matching techniques to find videos that are both important and relevant to the users search!

All exciting stuff... but without optimisation, only half of the work has been done.

There are a couple of relatively simple ways to ensure that video content is properly optimised.

1. Put a keyword into the video file name

2. If you’re embedding on YouTube, ensure that you’ve put keywords in the video titles and description boxes once you’ve uploaded.

3. Finally... Consider embedding the video into a 3d animation production relevant text page on your website. This will help the search engines better determine what your video is all about,and consequently rank it higher.
